Ryan Wood #2 — Mobil 1 50th Anniversary Livery, 2024 Sydney SuperNight

Walkinshaw Andretti United celebrated the global 50th anniversary of Mobil 1 with a special livery on both their Ford Mustang GT Supercars at the 2024 Panasonic Air Conditioning Sydney SuperNight.

The design featured a sleek black base with gold Mobil 1 logos and the return of the Pegasus — the iconic winged horse — above the Mobil 1 logo on the bonnet. It was the first time the Pegasus had been seen on a Walkinshaw car since 1999. Gold stripes replaced the customary white accents, and Mobil 1's long-standing connection to the team — going back to the Peter Brock era in the late 1990s — made the occasion all the more meaningful. Ryan Wood's #2 Truck Assist car was distinguished from Mostert's #25 by orange Truck Assist stripes, giving both cars a distinctive but complementary appearance under the lights.

The Sydney SuperNight proved a perfect stage for the celebration, with the night racing atmosphere amplifying the visual impact of the gold livery. Rookie Ryan Wood represented it well too — topping the P1 timesheets and making the top-10 shootout for Sunday's race. Meanwhile, Chaz Mostert went one better, winning both races at the round for WAU's first clean sweep of a multi-race weekend since 2010.
