1:64 S1 Trackstars Final Roar Chaz Mostert

This is one of the most emotionally charged liveries in the modern era of Australian motorsport — a fitting farewell to an era.

The 2022 VALO Adelaide 500 marked the final time a Holden would race in the Supercars Championship, and it was also Walkinshaw Andretti United's last race with the brand after starting 404 rounds and winning 187 races across a 27-year run with Holden, before their switch to Ford in 2023.

WAU brought back the iconic "lion and helmet" livery made famous during its Holden Racing Team days — a white and blue scheme harking back to the earliest days of the HRT, founded by Tom Walkinshaw in 1990. The white and black Commodore featured the original style black lion and racing helmet on the sides, reminiscent of the liveries raced by the team in the early 1990s, along with a special thank you message to the "red army" on the roof. Both Chaz Mostert (#25) and Nick Percat ran the tribute look, retaining their usual respective sponsors Optus and NTI.

WAU team principal Bruce Stewart captured it perfectly: "This team has had such a long and storied history with Holden — we bled red, our fans bled red. So for the final roar, it's only fitting we reflect back on the journey and thank everyone involved, from the fans who have supported us, to the thousands of people who contributed to Holden — including those at the Elizabeth plant, where Nick's father, grandfather and great grandfather all worked."

Mostert delivered a fairytale result, winning Race 1 on Saturday in the tribute livery — one last Holden victory for the books. A perfect send-off for an icon.
