In early January 2025, Triple Eight Race Engineering sent shockwaves through the Australian and International motorsport industry by announcing a switch to Ford for the 2026 season, while also being appointed as Ford’s homologation team for the Repco Supercars Championship.

With Toyota joining the grid to create a three-manufacturer battle in 2026, extensive aerodynamic development became a priority, including vital testing of the Supra against the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro in the United States to ensure parity across the field.

That work was highlighted when Triple Eight and Ford Racing unveiled a striking gunmetal grey Mustang Supercar. A dramatic departure from their familiar matte blue Red Bull Ampol race livery, the subdued grey finish was chosen as the preferred aero-testing colour, allowing for clearer visual analysis and underlining the serious intent behind the program.

Despite the subdued grey finish, the livery was really breathtaking. The contrasting greys, line work, Triple Eight and Ford Racing logos combined with the iconic Mustang Pony on the sides to form an awesome, stealthy looking Supercar. One that was begging to be replicated in scale model form as soon as it was revealed.

Triple Eight Race Engineering fans and die-hard Ford Racing collectors, can now get their hands on one.

This 1:43 scale model is scheduled to be produced in high quality sealed body die-cast with clear windows, detailed racing cockpit and undercarriage details unique to the Gen3 floorpan.

Comprised of roughly 65 individual metal and plastic parts plus anywhere between 50-100 steps in paint and decoration finishing, this is a high quality collectors model for fans of this scale.

It will come in an exclusive one-off limited edition, presented in a display case with the model attached to a white base plate which features the car details printed on it. An individually numbered backing board featuring the edition number is also included as part of the package and acts as the Certificate of Authenticity for the release.
